INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS
Fisher Contracting is offering summer internships to support projects in Michigan, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Fisher Contracting is a heavy-civil contractor, specializing in site development, underground utilities, landfill construction, road & bridge construction, environmental remediation, marine construction, structural concrete, piling, dam rehabilitation, earth retention, and cofferdams. With over 300 employees, Fisher Contracting self performs 80% of its work.
An ideal intern candidate would be very organized, desires to work in a team environment on a construction site,
is self-motivated, and is motivated to progress into a leadership position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Support the onsite project team to meet job performance and safety goals

Create an environment that promotes communication between all project stakeholders

Have the ability to work closely with the Project Field Leaders to build work plans and gather data

Provide project updates based on the quantities completed
-
Assist the Field Leaders in forecasting labor requirements

Monitor productivity of the work vs. the established budgets
-
Assist in the submittal process and managing of the RFI process
-
Self-motivated to learn the required construction software from HCSS and Primavera
-
45-55 hours per week will be required
