Fisher Contracting is hiring qualified Heavy Civil Superintendents in Kentucky.
Superintendents at Fisher Contracting have a vast amount of responsibility and are the ultimate drivers of the work in the field. They lead field crews, ensure adherence to plans and specifications, coordinate subcontractors, manage owner communication, and resolve technical issues to keep projects within budget and on time.
Fisher Contracting is a heavy civil contractor, specializing in site development, underground utilities, landfill construction, road & bridge construction, environmental remediation, marine construction, structural concrete, piling, dam rehabilitation, earth retention, and cofferdams. Our Management Team works closely together to support each other through each project, and we all win/lose together as a team.

An ideal candidate has a strong desire to lead and the ability to handle a vast amount of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:

Site Management: Direct daily field operations, including supervising crews and managing subcontractors.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations, ensuring a secure job site.

Scheduling & Logistics: Plan & coordinate construction activities, material deliveries, subcontractors, and equipment.

Quality Control: Ensure work meets quality standards, specifications, and design plans.

Communication: Act as the primary liaison between field personnel, project managers, owners, and inspectors.

Problem Solving: Indentify conflicts in construction progress and implement solutions.
Qualifications:

Experience: 5-10+ years in heavy civil construction, particularly in earthwork, underground utilities, CCR, and landfill construction.

Leadership: Strong ability to lead and motivate crews.

Technical Knowledge: Possess an understanding of civil plans, construction methods, and GPS technology.
