J.W. FISHER, P.E.
J.W. began his career with Fishers, in 1979 working for Fisher Sand & Gravel. There, he designed ready mix concrete mix designs, oversaw quality control, and occasionally worked as a Dispatcher. That same year, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University. In 1980, J.W. started at Fisher Contracting as a Project Foreman. He quickly moved through the ranks as an Estimator/Project Manager, until he became President of the company in 1996.
J.W. is currently a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan. He also serves as a member on the Board of Directors for several of the Fisher Companies operations. He exercises owner-control and provides the heavy-civil work knowledge he has gained over 35 years at Fisher Contracting to the other members of Management at the Fisher Companies.
STEVEN C. O’MARA, P.E.
Steve began his career with Fisher Contracting in January 1996. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1989, and is now a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan. His experiences in construction began in May of 1984, and he now has almost 34 years of experience in design and construction.
MARK EDLEBECK, P.E.
General Manager – Southern Division
Mark graduated from Michigan Technological University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2011, and started his career with Fisher Contracting. He began as a Project Engineer to a Project Manager/ Estimator until 2014, when he moved to his current position of General Manager for the Southern Division. During the past 6 years, Mark has been involved in all of Fisher Contracting’s Southern Division projects, either as a Project Manager or high-level oversight. Mark’s responsibilities include estimating key projects, project oversight, contract negotiations, and individual project management. Mark currently has his Professional Engineering Licenses in multiple states, including Michigan, Kentucky and Tennessee. Mark also received his MBA, in the spring of 2019, from Western Kentucky University.

Erick boasts over 27 years of experience in industrial, residential, and commercial construction and safety practices. He is a graduate of the ABC Construction Academy, with Professional Development taking place at Northwood University, Leadership Midland, and the 1000 Leaders Session. As our Director of Environmental Health & Safety, Erick is responsible for providing the safest work environment possible for our employees. He has shown great success in this endeavor, which can be witnessed by our numerous safety awards and accolades.
JOHN W. FISHER
Mike started his career at Fisher Contracting in February 2002. He has qualifications which include Hazwoper 40, OSHA 30His construction career began in 1970, working for R.B. Satkowiak and Sons as a Field Laborer, Mechanic, and Heavy Equipment Operator. In 1978, he went to work for Champagne & Marx, where he later became their General Superintendent.
